Alaska Horsemen Guest Ranch, nestled deep in a mountain valley of the Chugach National Forest and at the head waters of the Kenai River and in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula, Cooper Landing. We are pleased to present you to our Pioneer Alaskan horse-back riding, fishing, and relaxation ranch in this small resort community of Cooper Landing, a 100 mile drive south of Anchorage, and our suggested activities for 2009. We hope to have you as our guest whether for just a short half day horseback adventure, a combination saddle- paddle-or fish day trip or a longer stay including lodging and multiple activities.
Alaska Horsemen Guest Ranch specializes in a variety of Alaskan adventures including wilderness multi- day pack trips, (camping) utilizing historical Resurrection Trail to access remote, wilderness valleys of our back yard 14 million acre Chugach National Forest. Travel by horseback on our seasoned Alaskan mountain horses, all Alaska grown and well cared for athletes.. Our trails are extremely scenic and WILDLIFE VIEWING always a goal. We also do selected day trip rides daily from the ranch as well as shorter horse back rides.
Fishing may be a main option of your stay at the ranch. Our Kenai River has some of the best Rainbow trout and salmon fishing in the world. We use the finest professional guides who know the best spots to fish.
Our rafting trips offer both scenic serine raft floats or thrilling and extreme white water rafting. Close by Seward gets you on the waterways of Resurrection Bay for a boat cruise within the Kenai Fjords National Park for marine wildlife viewing and the glaciers up close. Flight seeing is available as well as numerous wilderness hiking trails or Kayaking in Kenai Lake or a bicycle ride down our country road or a session working our sluice box hunting for gold. Trail rides and fishing adventures can be custom tailored for your large or small group.
Overnight guests have the use of our kitchen facilities and outside cooking areas to cook their own meals. There is also a lounge and restaurant near by or meals may be custom catered. Guests may take advantage of our fun ranch amenities after hours as the sun is high in the evening.
